Born on February 4, 1977, Tapena was the cherished son of the late Tangianau and Teokotai George. He will be remembered as a devoted father, loving son, brother, and a deeply valued member of his extended family and community. His presence brought strength, warmth, and connection to those around him, and his loss is being felt profoundly by all who knew and loved him.
Tapena was a proud and devoted father to his children—Tori Jo, Tangianau, Tamara Rose, and Teina—who were the center of his life and the source of his greatest pride. His love and dedication to them will continue to live on through their lives and memories.
He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Taunga, Samantha, and Tania, and is reunited with his late brothers Pirioa and Reuben. His bonds with family ran deep, and he held those relationships close to his heart throughout his life.
