It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of George Noble, affectionately known as “Splodge,” who died at home on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 68. He was surrounded by his loving family in his final moments.
George was a devoted and much-loved father, father-in-law, granda, great-granda, brother, uncle, and a cherished friend to many. His life was marked by kindness, warmth, and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to his family and the lasting bonds he built throughout his life.
Those who knew George remember him not only for his devotion to his family but also for his good nature and sense of humor. He was a familiar and respected figure within his community, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral service will be held at Alexander Buchan & Son Funeral Chapel, Denmark Street, Fraserburgh, on Friday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, interment will take place at Kirkton Cemetery. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend both the service and burial as they gather to honor and celebrate George’s life.
The family kindly requests no flowers. However, donations may be given in lieu, if so desired, at the chapel door in aid of the Fishermen’s Mission, a cause close to the family’s heart.
George’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the love, support, and condolences they have received during this difficult time. His memory will be treasured always, and he will be forever remembered with love and affection.
