There are some messages that are incredibly difficult to write, and this is one of them. Our community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Presley Avril Stine, a young life taken far too soon. Presley, a 7th grader at Heritage Middle School, passed away on April 4, 2026—on her 13th birthday—following a four-wheeler accident in Central Texas.
Those who knew Presley remember her as a bright and joyful presence who brought light into every room. She had a natural way of making others feel seen, included, and comfortable simply by being herself. Kind, fun-loving, and easygoing, Presley embodied a spirit full of life, curiosity, and genuine warmth.
She had a deep love for the outdoors and found happiness in simple, meaningful moments—swimming, riding horses, and biking with friends. Presley also adored animals and carried that same gentle care into all aspects of her life. Her individuality shone brightly, and she proudly marched to the beat of her own drum, making her place in the Heritage Middle School band especially meaningful.
Her father shared heartfelt words, describing her contagious smile, unforgettable laughter, and the kind of hugs that brought comfort and joy. He lovingly called her “Mommy’s mini me, Daddy’s baby girl, and the very best friend and little sister to Parker,” a reflection of the deep bond she shared with her family.
While a loss like this is impossible to fully understand, Presley’s life offers something lasting to hold onto—her joy, her kindness, and the way she connected so effortlessly with others. Her memory will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Presley’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25 at 2:00 p.m. at First Grapevine Methodist Church. In honor of her vibrant spirit, attendees are asked to wear blue or camouflage.
During this incredibly difficult time, we hold her family, friends, classmates, and teachers in our thoughts and prayers.
