Brian Lynn Surcey Johnson City, TN Obituary, Death: Cherished Community Member Sadly Passed Away

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Lynn Surcey, age 26, of Johnson City, who passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center.

Brian was born in Elizabethton and was the beloved son of Angie Mullins, Patsy Surcey, Eddie Surcey, and the late Vestal Miller. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Whitney Morris, and his grandfather, Gary Lynn Rice. His passing is a heartbreaking loss for his family, who cherished him deeply and will carry his memory with them always.

Brian will be lovingly remembered for his interests and the joy he found in life’s simple passions. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and had a strong appreciation for firearms and mechanics. Above all, he had a deep love for his Mustang, which reflected his personality and enthusiasm for life. Most importantly, Brian treasured the time he spent with his family and those closest to him.

He is survived by his loving family, including his brother Tim Surcey, fiancée Audra McLean, grandmother Juanita Rice, aunt and uncle Beth and Ezra Baker, and several cousins who will all miss him dearly.

Those who knew Brian remember him as someone who valued loyalty, family, and friendship. His presence brought meaning and connection to those around him, and his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of many.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and relatives from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Honorary pallbearers include Tim Surcey, Will Norton, Ezra Baker, and Cameron Bowen.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Brian’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
