It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Ruthy Thelma C. Tirol, who returned to her Creator on 12 April 2026 at the age of 61 following a courageous battle with colon cancer.
The Municipality of Cordova, under the leadership of Mayor Cesar “Didoy” Suan, extends its sincerest condolences to her bereaved family during this time of profound loss. Her passing is mourned not only by her loved ones but also by the many individuals and communities she served with unwavering dedication throughout her life.
Mrs. Tirol devoted a significant part of her life to public service as a Barangay Health Worker (BHW) in Barangay Day-as. In this role, she became a trusted and compassionate presence in the community, consistently placing the wellbeing of others above her own. Her commitment to healthcare outreach, guidance, and support for families reflected her deep sense of duty and genuine care for the people she served.
She was widely respected for her kindness, humility, and tireless service. Colleagues remember her as dependable and selfless, while community members recall her as a comforting figure who offered assistance, encouragement, and care without hesitation. Her work made a meaningful difference in the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of service that will continue to inspire those who follow in her footsteps.
Beyond her public service, Ruthy was a loving family member and a cherished friend. Her presence brought warmth and strength to those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt across both her personal and professional circles.
